Guru Purnimah Navaratri: 3 - 11 July 2008
There are 4 Navaratris each year [also known as the 9 days/nights of Mother Divine]. The major ones are the maha [grand] navaratri in October/November and Vasant [spring] Navaratri in April/May. There are also 2 'gupta' or hidden navaratris - the next of which runs July 3 - 11, 2008
Each Navaratri has a particular theme aside from the general underlying context of the enlivenment of Shakti or Nature's organizing power. This coming Navaratri [9 nights of MD] culminates in Guru Purnimah - day of the Guru or full moon of Guru Dev on July 18
